Asalamu Alaikum,

My name is Shahrazad, and I am the owner of Al-azzam designs. I reverted to Islam as of May 2022, and Alhamdullilah, I love being a Muslimah. I also love representing Islam in the way I dress, and often get compliments from non-Muslims. I’ve never felt more beautiful in my veil, MashAllah.

However, I do see there is a lack of representation for us in the United States. I am currently located in Denver, Colorado. Alhamdullilah! The Muslim community here is beautiful and welcoming. So beautiful, that I wanted to do something for our Muslim women. I want to share my art and designs with my community, and I began sublimation for drinkware to begin with. InshaAllah, I will bring more items to my sisters. I have ideas!

I felt it was important to start with drinkware because of the dry heat in my beautiful state. We love the outdoors here, and we are a Very active and family oriented state. Hydration is a must. COFFEE is a must (I understand now that coffee dehydrates us…why wasn’t I told this and had to find out the hard way?). In Colorado, we carry our tumblers and mugs everywhere! There are many different logos such as pets, wild animals, ladies with messy buns and witty slogans, but I’ve yet to see one with hijab. This is what I wanted for myself, and InshaAllah, my Muslimahs will too.
